This is the first advertisement placed in the Cheltenham Chronicle and Gloucestershire Graphic (now the Gloucestershire Echo) and highlights not only its size but also the fact that it was heated.

The heating of the pool was a unique feature and one of the first tasks of the staff was to stoke the coal fire boiler. As many Lido’s in the country remain unheated, visitors to Sandford Parks Lido are often surprised that the pool water is heated.
