Dee & Griffin Dog Swim
11th &12th of October 2025
Early Bird Tickets on Sale from the 24th of July
Come and enjoy the glory and ambience of the lido with your four legged friends. Swim, smile and soak up the natural beauty and energy the lido and a family’s best friend radiate.
Please note that this is a pre-purchased ticket event. Participants will not be able to sign up on the day of the dog swim. Spectators are welcome at our normal entry prices, but only dogs registered for the event will be allowed on site. You must arrive 30 minutes before your entry time to allow us to register everyone efficiently.
Some breeds of dog are naturals in the water and others sink like a brick. We are happy for you to swim with your dog and if you are at all unsure about your dog’s ability or confidence in the water, we encourage you to come to the event prepared to get in the water (wetsuits advised but not mandatory). Please be aware that the pool water will be approximately 21°C.
All dogs must be accompanied by at least one person aged 16+.
Please keep your dog on a lead when they are in the grounds and only let them off when they enter the water.
We ask that you bring dog poo bags with you, but some will be available at reception if you run out. Please be a considerate owner and clean up after your dog. Sadly, the gardeners were really disappointed with the state of the lawns last year, so please help us to keep these nice and clean. You may dispose of the poo bags in any litter bin around our site (not recycling please!).
There will be lifeguards on duty, but their responsibility is for the safety of you in the water. The dog’s welfare remains the responsibility of the owner and you have agreed to this by signing the disclaimer as part of the entry sign up process.
We use a chlorine product in our pool and we therefore recommend that you hose your dog down following their swim. Hoses will be situated outside both changing areas and the outdoor showers will also be available. Please do not allow your dogs in the indoor changing rooms or toilets. It is also recommended that you encourage your dog to drink water following their swim. Water bowls will be available around the poolside, but we encourage you to bring your own also.
There will be a number of stallholders on site, so please take time to check out what they’ve got on offer – card and cash payments will be accepted at most stalls. We will also be holding a raffle with prizes including a Lido season ticket, free entry to next year’s dog swim and much more
We look forward to welcoming you here on the 11th & 12th of October
