Fitness Classes


Aqua

Aqua is suitable for anyone and everyone that is looking to develop their fitness. With the music playing (and hopefully the sun shining), our outdoor sessions have that holiday feel! Coached by Toni, this session uses mostly the shallow end, but may also involve the deep end of the pool (Minimum age 16)

Land-Based Circuits/HIIT

This session uses land-based activities to improve endurance, strength and overall fitness. With different exercises every session, this class is suitable for all abilities. Coached by Adam, this class will take place on the main lawn of the Lido in all weathers, so be prepared to get wet if the lovely British weather doesn't cooperate... (Minimum age 16)

Day: Tuesday evenings
Time: 7pm-7:45pm

Pool-Based Circuits

Based in the small pool area, this is a circuits-based fitness class using both land and water. Coached by Lara from TekkFitt, the aim of this session is to improve full-body strength and overall fitness. (Minimum age 16)

Day: Friday mornings
Time: 7am-7:45am

Yoga

This class uses breathing techniques, exercise and meditation and is suitable for all abilities. Yoga helps to improve health and happiness - its main goals are physical and mental health. Based on the ancient fitness science of Hatha yoga, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format. Led by Ele Hale, this class will be held outdoors until fitness classes are allowed to take place indoors under Covid-19 restrictions - after this time, the class will remain outdoors in nice weather, but will take place in the cafe on rainy days (Minimum age 16)

Pilates

This class is focused on improving flexibility and stability by strengthening muscles - in particular, the torso-stabilising muscles of the abdomen and lower back. Pilates concentrates on balance and posture and helps to improve general fitness and overall wellbeing, as well as the mind-body connection. Led by Cathy, this class will be held outdoors until fitness classes are allowed to take place indoors under Covid-19 restrictions - after this time, the class will remain outdoors in nice weather, but will take place in the cafe on rainy days. (Minimum age 16)
