Investing in Your Lido
We plan to invest over £300,000 in your Lido this winter. Improvements started as soon as we closed the gates on the 14th October.
The main pool was drained, cleaned, painted and refilled in time for our historic Christmas Day swim.
A record number of you came along to participate and support the event with 405 swimmers and hundreds of spectators, giving a record donation of £1,321.11 – thank you!

We plan to replace the old gas boiler for both pools and the heat exchanger for the children’s pool, this will reduce our carbon footprint whilst providing greater consistency of water temperature (26C in the main pool and 30C in the children's pool).
A marquee has been erected over the children's pool to ensure weather doesn’t delay the works to tile the pool. Following the removal of the liner and old paint, tiling will begin early in 2020.
The Season Ticket Holders' parking area has been levelled out to increase the number of spaces available for you during the season.
The power supply for the sauna has been altered from a wood burner to electricity to ensure a consistent temperature throughout the day.
Within the café we aim to improve the customer experience and speed of service on our busy days. We are expanding the customer service area and adjusting the general layout of café equipment to improve efficiencies.
In addition to these projects our annual winter works are underway with tasks such as redecoration of changing rooms, toilets, servicing of pumps and motors, tree surveys... The list is extensive to ensure the lido looks amazing at the start of every season.
